im going 2 get a 55gal fish tank?

Absolutely no Oscars! They need a 75 Minimum. For 1. They get longer than the tank depth. (front to back) They would not be able to turn around.
 
You can easily keep two Oscars in a 55 gal tank, but be sure you have good filtration on it. Their maximum size is 12 - 14" but more often they reach around 10-12"

You don't want to keep anything else with them as in order to match their size, you'll be pushing past the limits of fish / tank size...
