Im getting Telus dsl 1-6 mbps connection Monday, and im very confuses if ill have good

xbl connection? So, on Monday im getting Telus high speed internet DSL. I am getting the 1-6 mbps connection. I will most likely have a very good 6mbps download speed, because my friend who lives right beside my house got telus dsl 1-6 mbps connection like 3 days ago, and he said he had 6 mbps download speed. Also, they built the hub(the place where the dsl connection comes from), in my area. My friend also said is ping was 14ms-50ms, wich is amazing to me. I am sooooo excited because i really like playing on xbox live, mw2 with friends, and i can't until i get Telus dsl. My friend sais that he has a very good 4 bars connection when he playing mw2 on xbox live, he has a 3-4 bars connection when hes running youtube and playing mw2 on xbox live, and he ONLY has under 3 bars when theirs a bad host. The thing that has bothered me and i can't get out of my mind is, i have a brother and sister, and when they are home they are always using the internet just like me. My sister is only using Facebook, and is sometimes on Youtube. My sister uses a wired connection, shes connected straight to the router. My brother, he likes playing online games, either hes playing online p.c games, world of warcraft or countertrike, or hes playing xbox live. If hes not gaming then hes just on facebook or serfing the net. My brother is connected wired, he uses the ethernet port in his wall in his room. When i am on xbox live, i will be using a wired connection, i will be connected through the ethernet port in the wall in my room. Though, if my brother is playing online games, and my sister is ONLY using facebook will i stay have a good 3-4 bars while playing mw2 on xbox live? Say if my sister is on facebook, and my brother is serfing the web will i still have a good 3-4 bars connection on mw2? This is the important part, will i have 4 bars, NOT 3 but 4 bars if my brother is the only other one using the internet besides me? If hes on facebook? I know this seems like a very long question, and im sorry though if you answer these questions in an understanding way, it will make me very happy.
 
Concise: You want to know if you'll get the same quality service as your friend ON HIS OWN if you try and play while multiple family members are on the internet.

Your download speed won't be the same, your ping should be quite close though.
