I'm getting Spam with really weird dates?

I am receiving spam with dates like Jan. 7, 1909 and Jan. 20, 1937, and Jan. 18, 1936 and Jan. 18, 1938. So what's with the weird dates? AND I tried to download a pic in an email and got a pink message that the Yahoo AntiVirus checker was not available. Is that normal? Thank you.
