I'm getting my AA in liberal arts this year, would I be able to use that toward BS...

...in Biology or Nursing? I am graduating this summer with my Associate's degree in liberal arts and plan on applying to a state university after that, but I was wondering if a "liberal arts" degree is basically a general education degree or if I would only be able to use that towards a BA in liberal arts. I've been thinking about going Pre-Med and majoring in Biology or perhaps getting my BSN, but I'm not sure if I will have to start over again or if I can use that degree towards my bachelors. The credits would transfer to most colleges in my state because I'm coming from a public community college.
 
You will have a very structured program intensive in required courses.
Taking the "fun" stuff just came to an end. No more "enrichment" or elective stuff.
Your previously acquired education is not lost. No education is.
