or whatever you call those bikes that you ride on but won't leave one place.

my current job requires me to be sitting down during most time.
i'm not athletic nor into sports but i'm pretty skinny.
but since i gained something like a kg and a half since i got there (one month ago) and the fact that i ran a few meters makes me tired i figured i should do something.

but i want to know something:
how many kilometers/hours/minutes is it recommended to do per day?

because i read somewhere only after half an hour of exercise it actually begins to work. how long would i have to ride per day to keep my self (and my butt) in shape?

Hi, first and foremost. Congrats on your will to make a change!:)

Cardiovascular exercises like static biking requires you to work round 30 minutes (no less than 20) per day to burn adequate calories and fat. Couple with good diet of course which i will not dwell on.

You need to do it between 3-4 times per week.

I would say with the right diet and consistency u should see results around 2 months:)

If you want to strengthen yours legs and butts then you would have to do couple of different exercises to target your hamstring, thigh and calves:)

Keeping in shape also means the fat percentage in your body which shows the 'shape' itself, this requires not only a good diet but 1 which is low in fat, if you're really concern, u should stick to about 50g of fat per day depending on person and refrain from transfats at all times.
