Im getting a sprint phone but want to know which one is better samsung

moment or htc hero for messaging & wifi? I dnt have the internet plan just unlimited messaging but have wifi at the house and just want good cool phone i want to know which one would be better or if one lags and is slow or what overall which is better im not a hardcore internet surfer or anything
