I grew up in AZ and lived in San Diego for many years, then moved back to AZ. After living in CA it was an adjustment going back to AZ. I regretted it and wished i had stayed in San Diego. AZ is nice, but has gotten too expensive and crowded. Thanks in part to the people from CA that moved over and forced the housing prices to go up.
In CA you can be outside anytime of the year and not have a heat stroke, there's more to do and see in CA and the quality of life is much better. AZ especially Phoenix is polluted (bad air advisories throughout the year), the crime is geting worse (homicide a day), utilities cost more, and wages are lower.
How about picking a different area of CA?
