I know the government takes a piece of the pie. I'm trying to decide between two jobs. Money is kinda tight now since I'm supporting my sick parents. I'm a nurse.
1st job- $34/hour with $5000 sign on bonus after a year. I'm working 40 hours/week. I would be working 8 hours, 5 days/week. No overtime. They are also giving me $0.55/mile (no taxes takin out) for seeing each patient in there home. I estimated that I will be traveling 400-500 miles/week.
2nd job- $39.50/hour with no sign on bonus working 36 hours/week. This is in a hospital. No sign on bonus. I'll be working 12 hour night shifts, 3 days/week (which is kinda attracting me). This has a possibility of overtime.
The 1st job is actually easier physically on my back but I wonder even after the sign on bonus, if it's really worth taking the 1st job. Help!!! Any math wiz out there?
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 K benefits are about the same.
