I'm cooking dinner for my girlfriend tonight, whats a good meal to make?

I need something simple to prepare but impressive. Its her birthday today so I'm wanting to make it nice. She really likes any kind of food except Mexican. I'm horrible when it comes to cooking seafood unless its fish.

Please include the recipe and directions or a link to them.
