...anti-science. Why is this so? I am an international student attending university in USA. My university and many of Ivy League schools were originated by churches or for training of ministers. History of literacy in USA came from goal that all citizens could read the Bible. So why do I hear claims that Christians are anti-education and anti-science? Or were the 1700's different than present day in terms of education and science goals of American Christians. Are Christians more anti-education now versus then? Or is this lie or just untrue?
I am meeting very religious USA Christians who are graduate students and PhD candidates. (And some of those are science degrees.) So how can people write here that Christians are anti-education?
I find USA graduate students more religious (in many cases) than UK graduate students. (I studied there in the past.)
I am Muslim and wish to understand USA.
