So I went to my lbs today. The shop seemed to be just about sold out of everything and only had a couple of bikes. I told him what I was looking for and what I would be using it for (nothing over $650 and good for commuting mostly on pavement). He directed me to a 21 speed Origin Cutler(there really wasn't much of an option to choose from) for $349 brand new tuned and everything. I tried finding reviews and info about it on-line but hardly anything comes up. This was by all means a very small bike shop but it did seem like the two people running it knew what they were talking about and definitely seemed trust worthy. I rode the bike around the parking lot. It did seem like an overall quality bike for the price however it really didn't seem as fast as I was expecting it to be. Maybe that's cuz I'm just use to riding a motorcycle Anyways, what are your thoughts? Know anything about the Origin Cutler?
I also went to another lbs. They had much more of a variety as well as more of the high end bikes. However, I don't feel I can get a very good deal there. It appears that all of their bikes are sold at the MSRP... no sells or anything
If I buy from there I'll be spending no less than $700.
I checked craigslist too. Nothing my size...
Should I just buy from BikesDirect?
