Well, I would love to take my blazer to a genuine car place, however finances being what they are, its not an option. My bro-in-laws are armature grease monkeys, and have agreed to help me fix the problem. I just wanted to post whats going on here first to see if anyone has any suggestions, because as I said before, they are armature grease monkeys, but awesome guys cuz they agreed to help out a sista in law in need.
The problem is this - its overheating, and its driving me nutz. It was fine, until disaster struck 2 months ago. The fan shroud came unbolted and fell onto the fan while it was running, result was fan broken in pieces, and the pieces went and put holes in my radiator. So I just put a new radiator in and also a new fan clutch (thanks to the bro-in laws, good work guys) It ran great for about a month. In the last 20 days or so it has been slightly overheating and I was adding antifreeze about every other day to keep the level up, it seemed to be disappearing, but we can't seem to find a leak. So anyway, it went from slightly overheating to overheating badly. The odd thing is the heat won't work half the time. Its cold in PA and it will blow hot air for 10 min then conk out and blow cold air for 10 min. Its when its blowing cold air its overheating. I was told it could be a water pump, but that was just replaced less than a year ago, and there doesn't appear to be any water around it. But this leaves me with the question, where the hec is the antifreeze/water going if I can't find a leak?? its dumbfounding me I just don't get it!! I'm so frustrated, and I don't want to go out and buy any unnessesary parts, because as I said, Im beyond broke and I really don't want to end up messing my car up because its my only way to work, and as I live in a rural area its not like I can catch a bus or something. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
thanks guys! so i need some stop leak first. & look and pray its a leak somewhere. I hope its not the block, cuz the whole reason i bought the darn thing is cuz it just had the engine rebuilt, and the rebuilt engine has less than 10k miles on it.
also, the oil looks fine, its not cloudy or ne thing

Run out and get some Radiator Leak Plug, you should be able to poor it into your radiator and it will clog any hole that it finds, if that doesn't work then you have a whole in your block somewhere and thats where its all going... this would mean time for a new Engine... but you never know...

Thermostat sounds like it not working to stop overheating cheap is pull the thermostat out and re-hook everything else up one thing you won't have any heat.

heater core/supply to heater core. It will drip on tranny and run back to the rear of the vechicle. Check the hoses going from the firewall and also look under the dash of your truck.
Not a hard fix but will take some invistigation to find the leak.
Try also some stop leak. More than likely it will not help tho.
Sorry bro.

So many guys would probably do this for you for free if they could get an opportunity to take you out on a date.. Whats wrong with woman? Go find an auto mechanic and date him.. Duh...
