I'm attempting to restore my 1967 mercury cougar and want to know how much it all

start saving your money, restoring cars cost thousands of dollars.I suggest you get a job in a custom fabricator, or a body shop, or a machine shop, something to do with cars. what happens is you eat sleep and walk and talk cars, you meet others who feel the same as you work for years at your craft whatever it is, motors, or transmissions or what ever shop you work at, you find some guy who wants to rebuild his motor, or tranny or what ever, so you build him what he needs, he builds you what you need then you go find a guy who does body work, rebuild his engine, he does body work on your car, find a guy who paints build him an engine, he paints your car, see how you get a nice muscle car for almost free? you learn a skill and in the process make friends and you trade each others skill on the weekends and build hot cars.good luck, its that, or win the lottery.
