to start? My first bike was a little 50cc dirt bike. So obviously you can apromimate how young I first got into this thing lol..... As I got bigger I went to a 100cc dirt bike and then when I was over 6 feet tall I got a dual sport 400cc. Then another dual sport 650cc. The big one came with a cruiser. It was a suzuki boulevard c50 which is a 800cc. I firmly beleive that I just have a gift with bikes, I definatly have alot of confidence. But I've never ridden a sport bike. I want to change direction with my riding style. And go faster. And faster in corners and all that performance stuff :) So I want either a 600cc gixxer, 750 gixxer, 1000 gixxer or a busa if I'm not totally out of my mind hehe. I've ridden my cruiser for more than 3 years. Thanks for reading!

The busa is pretty much out of the question, and even though you're an experienced rider, having a 1000 be your first sport bike can be a bit iffy. Sport bikes are a different animal than dirt and cruisers, so I'd go with the 600, but if you feel confident enough you could probably ride the 750. If you want to go faster i'd recommend the Honda CBR600RR, but I am biased, so if you like the Gixxers, go with them.

I have a GSX-R1000. It's a pretty insane bike when you rev it up, but under 7,000 RPM it's easy to handle, and the power comes on really gradually. The same goes for the 'Busa. An experienced rider isn't going to have a major problem with any of the sport bikes out there. The main thing is to not ride outside your ability. Take the time to learn the bike and any of them will work for you.

One thing to remember is that in many situations the 600s are the faster bikes, and they can be a lot easier to ride.

Thinking that you have the "gift for bikes" and getting on a liter bike with "a lot of conficence" is a great way to find yourself in over your head though.

The bikes feel like they are capable of doing ANYTHING you ask of them....

That is until you find the limits the hard way.

The best thing to do is get out there and ride a few sport bikes and see what feels right.
