...should I get when I pass? I'm not sure what car I should get, i'm into offroading and would love to do it myself, however the only off road vehicle with a small enough engine for me to insure would be a Suzuki SJ. I would like to have a quick car like a 106 or something similar..

So what would you recommend for a 17 year old who's about to pass there test? Also, how much will insurance roughly cost on a 1.2/1.3L vehicle?
 
you can look into a honda accord very good on gas and insurance wouldn't be that much. they are very strong cars. for insurance check out this website. www.insweb.com
 
dont worry about insurance kid.
have some fun while you are young.
go get yourself as nice a car/truck you can afford.
then drive the living shit out of that car.
once it blows up get another one.
have some fun tho. get something your going to enjoy driving.
 
I would get an old beater. You are most likely to get in a crash when you first start driving, and you wouldn't want your perfect new car to get messed up. Go for an old Jeep or something. A 4x4 Toyota would be good too.
