...get a job without experience? I applied at several different camps, and I applied to be a cabin counselor Which means basically I live with campers and I also teach several activity periods a day. I had to rank what I could teach or help teach this is what I picked ( in this order) theatre/drama, dance, arts & crafts, canoe. I have a ton of experience of volunteering with kids, (girls scouts, boy scouts, tutoring, bible school teacher, babysitting, and even a job as a volunteer junior counselor). I have fairly extensive experience in theatre and dance since I've been in them. One of the camps that i applied at emailed me and said all though I have lots of experience with kids I don't have experience teaching so they couldn't hire me. This worries me because I am afraid the other camps will say this also. What can I say in an interview to help improve my chances of being hired.I really think that if someone just gives me a chance I'd be a wonderful counselor.
