Im a 21 year old male with Financial problems,What are ways to help me financially?

Ive been having a hard time to acquire a job im in college now and its difficult to sustain myself what are my options this is what people have told me :

*Apply for Food Stamps
*Apply for Welfare
I have tried many places to apply for a job and it gets tiring.Even with a regents HS diploma
