...know each other? I'm 16 in 11th grade. I'm not a bad kid, my parents know this. The last time I gave them any reason to worry about me was when I was in 6th and 7th grade because I was in with a bad crowd. I only drink when I'm around at least one of my two older brothers(They're 21 and 19, and our family has a good relationship, there's no distrust aside from my parent's not trusting me alone) Oh, and they don't mind my drinking as long as someone that they trust is there.
I just don't understand why they don't trust me. I don't think it's realistic to have my parents meet my friend's parents when I hang out with them. I'm not in elementary school anymore, it's embarrassing.
How do I tell them this in a way that they'll understand?
By the way, I don't mind bringing my friends around the house so my parents can meet them every once in a while. I just don't want it to be like "Oh, Bailey, where are you going?" "To Ashley's house." "Do I know her parents? I don't? Have them call me."
And like I said, I don't give them any reason not to trust me.
And yes, I'll always let them know who I'm with and what I'm doing and I'll always answer my phone.
