My dad says he's not getting me a car. Period. He says I have to pay for it. I'm only 15 and I'm getting my permit in a couple of months. No where hires under 16. I play sports and I'm trying to get good grades. I don't have time to work at a job a lot. Maybe 15 a week max. 10-15 hrs a week at McDonalds isn't gonna get me $10,000 and gas money! How can I get around $15,000 in 2-3 years. Please be realistic and I'm serious. I'm talking about $15,000 in 2 years. Mowing lawns and babysitting isn't gonna cut it!

What makes you think you need $15,000 for your first car. If you want to talk realistic and serious let's talk about a $2500 car so you can learn how to drive, get a job and earn some money and then you can buy the car you really want after graduation.
u basically have no options. its like cmon, no person whose 15/16/17 can raise 10,000 on their own with no job.
get a used car, for like 3,000 and then once youre older get one that costs 10 K.
or once youre 16 work at mcdonalds or something. then go buy one at the dealer or something, and just keep on paying it off.

Ive been driving a $2000 car for the last 5+ years and Im a millionaire.
My first car cost me $1150. And I saved it from cutting grass, doing odd jobs, getting jobs, having a paper route and things like that. Every penny was my own.
Started saving at age 14. Had enough by the time I was about 16.5.
Im sure there are kids around my neighborhood with the same problem.
Guess what ? NOT ONE has ever knocked on my door asking for work.
If they would have, I would have given them some work. That's how I got work when I was a kid.
