Illegal to ride a 40-50 mile dirt bike on public sidewalk?
We want to buy a gas dirt bike that goes 40-50 miles and want to ride it on a public sidewalk, we live in kansas....Also do you need some type of License needed to ride the dirt bike? PLZ ANSWER! Oh and btw im 14!

Yes, it's illegal to drive ANY motor vehicle in on the sidewalk. You'll get stopped, given a citation (or arrested), and the police can even confiscate the bike.

Also you can't drive a dirt bike on the public road unless it's "street legal": that means lights, plate number, sound suppressor and some other requirement. Also you need a driver's license.

On private property or off-road areas (were allowed) you don't need driver's permits or make to make the bike "street legal".

It's illegal to ride ANY dirt bike on a sidewalk. It's illegal to ride a BICYCLE on the sidewalk(just not enforced). The sidewalk is for PEOPLE, not vehicles.

I highly doubt it. Thats way too fast. Maybe the side of the road, or the road (depending where you live) I have to drive my ATV in the ditch on the side of the road going about 30-40 because you don't want to hit anyone walking/running. And ya, you do need a license. Oh and btw im 14 too :)
