I had a 1983 Honda VT750C Shadow, my friend has the same bike only it is a 1984 version. I had two ignition igniters on mine ,he has three. On his electrical schematic two of the igniters are labled as #1 and they are the exact same units. The third is labled #2 and it looks different than the #1's. The problem is no spark to the rear cylinder (V-Twin). He reverses the two igniters labled #1 and still only the front cylinder fires. The delimna is : he does not know the reason for the third igniter, he suspects it might be the reason for no spark at the rear cylinders , he tried a new #2 ignighter, but that didn't help. All 750 V-Twin Honda's I have encountered other than this 1984 have only two igniters. Any body know what the third igniter is for, or an opinion why the rear cylinder will not fire?
