...something? My mother and I were at a Claim Jumper recently, and the bill came without listing the price of my sandwich. I kept telling her to say something to the waiter, but she insisted that if she did, the waiter would get in trouble from his boss. My mother is very moral person, so I know she wasn't trying to hustle her way into getting a free meal. She knew some friends who have been fired (for different reasons) from the same restaurant, and believed that if we mentioned that we were undercharged our waiter, who had been perfectly decent to us all night, would be in trouble by his boss. Knowing that I cannot win in a fight with my mother, we left without paying for the sandwich, and I'm still wondering if she was right or wrong. It would be great if any waiters out there could shed some light on what should have been done. Thank you!
