Okay, here's a hypothetical. Aroldis Chapman, the Cuban who just defected and hired an agent, should be on a Major League roster fairly soon. This guy looks pretty nasty, one of those phenom type pitchers. Now, who would you rather get for your team: Chapman or Roy Halladay?
On the one hand, Halladay is tried and true while Chapman is a big question mark because he hasn't played in the Majors.
On the other hand, Halladay is getting older while Chapman is in his 20's, and really looks like he could be phenomenal, even better than Halladay. AND you could probably get him cheaper than Halladay.
You're the GM, who do you chose??
