...then hard to negotiate price down? We want to buy much less house than we can afford, and we want to negotiate a very good price. So does the seller see our loan pre-approval amount? Would that affect the price negotiations? If so, maybe we should not tell the lender about all our savings, so the pre-approval amount is lower?
