If your parent is getting old do you discuss the will with siblings beforehand?

Of course this is awkward but is it a good idea? You have an adult brother, say and one living parent. That parent is not sick but they are getting up there in age. Is it a good idea to have a conversation with your siblings about what happens when dad dies? Do people do this even if the parent is not sick? Is it appropriate? You might wonder how the assets might be divided. Your siblings might not know anything but could it be possible they talked to you parent and found out some remarks as to their intent. Maybe it doesn't matter because it will be done a particular way and you can't change it anyway?
