my daughter is 15 and has a point and shoot camera. She is very very interested and loves photography and has done a lot of studying of what goes on with the lighting, etc. and how the camera works. She is asking for me to help her buy a digital SLR but they are very expensive and i don't know where i would even start because i don't want to buy her something she won't even use in a few months or years.
My question is: Do you always help your children out with whatever their interests are or do you put the limit somewhere and make them work for what they want even if they make not even being doni it in a few years? my daughter wants to start a project, and some people are asking her to do self portraits but to do that she would need a better quality camera.
So i was thinking of us sharing one, since i have a 10 year old who does ice skating and i'd love to learn with my daughter. Would that be a good idea or should i let her stick with her own hobby?
