...are you issued a check? Let's say your car was stolen from outside a bar...of course I want them to recover it, but how long do I have to drive around in a rental car? Are they just going to search for it indefinitely until it turns up all broken up somewhere like in a few months?
What determines the actual date when the insurance just forks over a check if the police has not found it by some date? And is that date based on the insurance company's policy or my state's policy? A buddy of mine said they have 14 days to find it...another person said the police will look for it and if cannot find in 30 days...insurance should process my claim?
