If you were to hike for two weeks, how many miles would you travel?

In my English class we have a writing assignment in which we are stranded in the Amazon rainforest on a research mission and it will take us two-weeks to hike back to the reseach base. We must write journal entries on what is happening daily, and we are with two friends. My friends and I have decided our base is in Belem, which is at the end of the Amazon river, we want to know about how many miles would a two-week hike be, so that we can decide where we ended up when we got stranded. Thanks! I know it's an odd and difficult question, but anything close to "makes sense" will do!

well you walk a mile in 20 minutes

so 5 miles an hour…Â*for 8 hours is 40 miles

for…Â*2 weeks thats 14 days is 560 miles

you'd be 560 miles in any direction assuming you walk everyday for 8 hours.

so say about 400 miles because thats pretty unplausible

15 miles a day tops. You are walking through a jungle! 15x14=210 miles. On second thought, better shoot for 200 miles. And carry your machete.
