i would start with the defense. you cant win super bowls by beating other teams 45 to 42. then i would work on that offense of line. if you cant stop someone from getting to your QB, than why have a good QB? and then i would try to find a free agent at QB. someone who has been a back up that has talent. then i would get big backs that can move a pile. quick backs are great to watch, but i would want a big back that could carry the ball 25 times a game. then get some wide receivers that have some speed, for the play action. if you have a defense that can stop the other team, than you will always be in the game to win it at the end. then have a offense that can control the clock. if you keep the other offense off the field, then you will have a great chance to win games. then the Lions can start winning more games then they lose. a perfect example of that would be the steelers. over the years that has been there MO. and for the last 15 to 20 years, nobody in football has been more consistent then the Steelers. run first will always open the pass up. but the Lions will always be the laughing stalk of the NFL. keep picking a wide receiver in the first round!
