I'm doing some research for the book I'm writing and know nothing about brain tumors. My character has an inoperable brain tumor. I want him to live for a few months and then die fairly suddenly. For instance, there is an emergency- such as stroke from the brain tumor. The doctor's try to stop the bleeding, but he dies a day or two later. (I know it sounds morbid, but there's a reason for it all.)
A few questions: If he has an inoperable brain tumor, they would still tread him with radiation, correct?
If the area of his tumor is inoperable and he has a stroke which causes bleeding, would they be able to operate to stop the bleeding even though the location of the tumor is inoperable?
How long could he live under these conditions? Could they operate and then he dies a couple of days later?
