if you served 4 years in the army, when you retire do you get anything from social

1. Retirement from the military is only after 20 years of service.
2. Social Security is deducted from your pay and counts towards your benefit when you reach retirement age of 67.
3. If you don't do the full 20 years in the military there is no benefits except possible VA benefits for G.I. Bill and VA Home Loan Guarantee, and if you've been injured on active duty, VA medical benefit.

The only way you could get social security benefits is if you got disabled while in the Army.
