right to work state can they sue? you? I am currently a recruiter working for a Technical recruiting firm. I have worked there for three years and have done very well (my production is very good). My dream is to own my own technical recruiting firm. when I first started I had to sign a contract (i am a 1099 worker) stating I would not go work for, or even start another similar business. i live in a right to work state (TN) and wonder if this can be enforced. I do not plan on stealing company info or anything but I might work with some of the same clients...but others as well. I might even call on a entire different segment of the business. Can this contract be enforced?
