I find it very rude to be called CRAZY if a person is mentally ill. We can no longer use the word retarded to refer to someone who is slow, we must say challenged. So what gives normal people the right to think it is ok to call Mentally Ill people, like those who are bipolar, schizophrenic, etc CRAZY?
I find it quite offensive. Instead why can't people be called emotionally different or unique.
I agree with both answers. 2011 should be the year of Mental Illness. We should all call ourselves unique. Make up some kind of identification (like the blue puzzle piece for Austism). Maybe something purple. Not wrist bands though overused idea. Any suggestions greatly considered. If we agree and I make a lot and give to the Drs in my area and you do the same and your friends do the same, we can start something big. Maybe someone rich will have a telethon for our cause. I am serious, Please give me your ideas. I want to change crazy and the only way is to do this because the world is ignorant.
