business? I am going to inherit that amount shortly. I have a normal job, wages are medium, and my husband too. We both rent a flat right now. We would like to open our own business, a take away-restaurant or a nice fashion boutique. But the uncertainty of the market, both for a business or for investing in a property are so bad, we dont know what to do.
what would you do?

£50000 wont get you very far in this day and age to be honest with the sort of business you are asking for. Having said that, it will set you off in the right direction. I run my own business and have been really slaving away since the beginning. The government have made it very tough for small business to survive these days and most of my money goes to people that don't deserve it (in my opinion). Consider wisely as property investment might yield better results for less effort.
