retail sales are DOWN... they can't sell what they are making...
so, why are companies going to hire more people to make more of items that OVERALL aren't selling...
I'm sure there are a few sectors that are healthy.... on a grand economic scheme, I don't see how it would magically create jobs in our current economy...
what's the motivation for the businesses to hire more people with their tax cut money?
SCALE... instead of scheme... doh!
maybe huge companies... with very long term plans... I can see that...
but I don't see small businesses doing it with all of the uncertainty...
Large businesses are based on future earnings. If they are GUARANTEED permanent tax cuts, their future earnings will rise, giving them room to expand.
Expansion = hiring.
Scott, you're a liar...the BHO small-business plan is PRO-small business and anyone who says otherwise is simply a Republican tool who prefers to lie in order to try and make things look bad to the less informed in a desperate effort to save their party...too bad for them that most people are aware of their deceptions and as a result over these past two years their party is slowly deteriorating into the abyss where it belongs. Selfishness, intolerance and deception is not the American way...no matter how much the Republican Party tries to make it so.
If you lower taxes then the products become less expensive and more people would be willing to buy the product. As you increase the sales of the product then the manufacturer would need to increase production and you increase production by hiring more workers. As far as the retail side goes, you might not see an increase in workers unless that store starts getting a lot more business and then it can expand and hire more. Nothing is going to create job instantaneously, but lowering taxes would create more jobs in the long run. More jobs means the gov't would also be collecting more taxes. More product sales also means the gov't would be collecting more taxes. Just my thought.
They wouldn't and they haven't. Bush use to brag about creating 6 Million jobs in his 8 years. Clinton created over 22 million. What has hurt the US the most in jobs creation is the huge loss of manufacturing jobs that have occured in the past 30 years. The US use to be a manufacturing super power in the world, not any longer. The US use to be the world's largest Creditor nation, loaning millions all around the world. Now we are the largest Debtor nation in the world. It all adds up.
What job do you know that hires more ppl than they need to sell their products.
A job is dependant on WHO IS BUYING and that is the only way and your boss will try and work the dog shit out of you before he hires another guy.
Every time that the republicans have gotten in with their trickle down & big business theory BANKS & THE AUTO INDUSTRY needed a bail out. It doesn't work, that is why they call it Regan Voodoism.

The cut can be made retroactive and therefore there would be immediate $$ in the pocket of the business owner.
Let me offer an example. A friend of mine is a podiatrist, and he has an office staff of 6. He'll have to let go of one of them due to the BHO bodget plan and all.
If BHO signed a tax cut law that would stimulate small business, then he would not only be able to save that job but add another.
