If you do a little side business from home, should you put that on a job application?

I know everyone's tired of hearing me ask job questions but I do have another one.

My husband is a licensed computer tech but cannot get a job in his field because of a criminal record.

Instead he works on people's computers in our county and the surrounding one and gets business by word of mouth. He also charges cheaper than people around here who actually own their own businesses. I help assist him sometimes, he's taught me a thing or two about repairing computers although I am not licensed or anything.

It's not exactly enough to live on, god knows we're struggling right now and we're both looking for work. But it does help cover cigarettes and a few things like that.

So technically the business doesn't exist... neither of us have business permits or a shop or anything of the sort, people who know us drop their computers by and they get fixed and we make a little bit of cash, is all.

So hat said, should i put it down on my job application? Should I let potential employers know that's what I've been doing the past couple of years here and there? or would it look bad because it's not registered or anything and if they looked up my social security number there wouldn't be anything about the business?

Or is it good to put anyway, because it shows I do at least do SOMETHING??? So desperate right now for a job I'll do anything to get one.
