If you could tell Harley engineers to fix something what would it be?

1. Make the rocker supports adjustable so when the clearance between the rocker arm and the box wear and increases you don't need shims to take the slack out, this will take care of the "tick" that is so often complained about. Make it a 50,000mile regular maintenance adjustment.

2. Offer 1156 and 1157 red bulbs.

3. Shaft rear drive system.

4. Better sounding stock horn.

5. Standard Speedometer/Tachometer on RK

6. Stronger clutch cable.

7. Offer a Street King model with a removable fairing.

That, and do something to ensure the winshield mounting bolts don't strip out the fairing holes on the second or third use. And yes, I do know how to put them in...
 
Relocate the oil filter and design adjustable windshields (especially on fairing bikes).

To get any of the accessories made standard we need to be complaining to the marketing folks, the engineers have done their job.
 
i don't understand some of the cvo colors and patterns. i think harley could do a better job. classic black for all models. black is not my style, but i love the harley in black
 
I was talking to a buddy of mine last night about this, I feel that Harley should get hooked up with Corbin or Mustang and have those folks make the seats for their motorcycles. You have to pay top dollar for the bikes and before you leave the dealership you have to paid a big price for a seat you can ride it home on. This is the way it should be , when you buy a new bike they should ask you if the seats works for you , if not , pick out any seat they stock that fits in exchange for the one that works for you.
If the seat were made by one of the major seat groups I think it would be a step forward to helping customers stay with Harley. Is is such a shame to buy a new bike and can't even ride it home without spend $300.00 to $400.00 for a seat that you will have to work on to make it work for you.
 
This is more of a marketing thing, but I'd like to see the option to get a touring bike sized for Small, Med, or Large riders, instead of the one size fits all. I end up spending over a grand just to get comfortable on the bike. Who knows, maybe they could attract more women riders that way.

The radio is long overdue for an upgrade, with the ability to accept mem cards for MP3s, and a AUX port on the back, plus XM standard on the Ultra. More power and better speakers.

Dual position windshields, so you could raise them up when it's raining or cold would also be nice.
