If you could tell Harley engineers to fix something what would it be?

1.) All Engines to have SE Parts - build the engines do not make us have to pay for it

2.) Single sided Swing Arms - 10min. rear tire change

3.) Muffler Clamps that you can re-use 10 times or more

4.) Stop the Grease leak out of the streering head bearings - I have tried every know
grease to man - at 100deg. it's all going to leak

5.) Gas Tank Fuel Filter - 25k miles , why not a 50K filter they do make them

6.) Oil Cooler Standard on all bikes

7.) Optional trick center stand like on the Goldwing / K1200LT that tucks up nice

8.) Polyurethane Bushings - I hate rubber

9.) 3 year / 30k mile warranty standard - it's built in the USA , we make damn good
product step up !

10.) XM / Siruss , 6 cd player standard - pull the CB option

Are you someone that takes off for a ride and leaves the kick stand down....and
you want Harley to fix it? Thank goodness bikes have self cancelling turn signals!

But a real fix.....de-fog the gages! LOL And the engine shaking..
...what's up with that!?
Keep up with all the fixes and Honda will buy Harley Co.

Relocate oil filter to vertical position.
ABS standard on all bikes.
Optional water cooling
If something works well, don't change it just to change it. (If your r & d dept. is that bored, you have too many engineers on the payroll.)
More testing before bringing something to market. Tire recalls? ECM flashes for same-model-year bikes? C'mon!

How about a daggum ECM that auto tunes like it should, so everyone of us dont have to go buy these other systems that either replace or piggyback..i think its a small thing to ask, an ECM that thinks and adjusts to conditions or motor changes...its just smart.

For the ladies out there, not all of us men think like this....just the grumpy married ones ;-)

I'm divorced and learned from my mistakes, LOL

I love working on my Harley , that's why I bought it, otherwise I would have stayed with my Goldwing....

But lets face it , the bike needs just a couple of new up grades - at $20K plus $$ plus $$
made in the USA is dying fast and Harley is on the edge of closing up shop....

Quit giving people who trade in Sportster full money back. I'd love to be able to sell mine and they are killing the market!!!

I guess I would ask them to think of a way to either vent or draft the heat from the rear jug. So it goes under the bike rather tham out the sides into the riders legs.
