Assuming you have the preknowledge of the past and the intelligence to something about it. EX; Go back to 1930 Germany and prevent Hitler from coming to power.

This is tough. I have so many things I'd want to change, but if I really had to choose, it would be that we never used petroleum. Then later, we don't have the huge problem of Global Warming.
