I KNOW that people say 'oh you're not going to win', but people DO win, and if you can can free tickets, then why not? Maybe this view is incredibly naive... but I think of the lottery as 50/50 chance, even though the reality is actually almost 1/infinity. The reason why I think this is because - put simply - you either win, or you don't..of course if you pay for a ticket and don't win then you're losing a pound or two - but I'm talking about free tickets.
Oh and I do know that in general you have to buy tickets, XD this question is somewhat theoretical.
