Hi,

I recently got offered a N95 prototype,

I used it for about an hour and it seems good.

only thing is that it only comes with the phone and charger and battery.

thats it.

he's telling me to offer him a price.

so I am asking HOFO on how much would you buy it if you had a chance.

the dude had like 3 of them.. i have no idea how he got them.

Nothing. Why pay for sub-par equipment? Unless you are a tech head and you are about to rip it apart to see how it works, there is no use. It is like buying a half built car.

I'd say keep the E61 I sold you....take your money back and take the N80ie I just got a few days ago and give me the n95

Seriously though, 1000 bucks is the most I think anyone should pay but I wouldnt pay for a proto if it was sitting in my lap unless I knew that: A: it was made in Finland (which I'm sure it was) and B: EVERY feature works flawlessly. Even so I would still be reluctant to buy it pre-release. It's not far off and I would wait another year if they decided at the last minute to cram some more pixels into that screen.

I've held the proto myself..

I wouldn't even spend penny on it.. Getting the N95 proto is almost getting a dummy phone!!

Trust me.. Its full of bugs/errors.. Every apps I open, I get a apps error..

Also its very limited to what it can do.. Not perfect..

So why spend on one if the guy who got it, got it for free and was used for advertisement purpose..

Damn Smart Nokia uhh.. Using people to advertise their phone!! Heehehehehe..

As for angel.. Your not a advertiser, Your a critic mann!! You need to write something about this phone when you get it..

I did noticed that most of the protos on you tube have numerous errors while trying to access certain things.....but I would throw a couple of "pennies" for one...just not dollars!

Yes pennies...

Not dollars.. Just like on spending on a dummy phone.. Hehehehe!!

People are over excited on this phone that they would pay for a proto for a very high price just to look cool..

That's a NO NO to me!!

I don't think they are? Nobody has posted that they would spend a lot of money, if at all.

I may be the most excited about this handset, but even so, I'm not dying to get my hands on the first taste of it, particularly if it doesn't function properly. That's what smartphones are all about: function over appearance.

I agree. My level of excitement plummeted slightly when I got my N80ie. The pixel count on such a small screen is making it really tough to want another handset right now. I'm still certain I'll get it but I'd like to see some comments from guys like Angel that get their hands on it a bit earlier than everyone else. In fact, I would like to hear your comments and opinions of it as I'm fairly certain your going to be one of the first owners as well and obviously your S60 opinions will be trusted......so plunk down the dough and let us know will you?

woo...what the hell is this

I would love to write another review about the N95 like I did with the E70, but I highly doubt that I will for a couple reasons. One is that I probably won't be the first in line to grab this phone because I won't have the funds necessary to buy one at launch. Two is because the hardware and software are already being showcased on a dozen videos all over youtube already. If the new software version is worth mentioning, I may write a small something though, which, I hope it will be.

It'd be really nice if the N95 had the music player from the music edition phones and similar goodies like that.
