phone or must they come out? If you call the police on your mother, because she is cleaning out the inside of your car, taking out all your worldly belongings, won't stop, even after you tell her to stop throwing out all your things from YOUR car: is it the law that the police MUST appear at your house, or can they just resolve this domestic matter merely over the phone? My mother & I have different versions of this drama. I tell her that they did come out in person, to make sure that I'm ok; she says they merely talked with us both on the phone, yet an actual Peace Officer never appeared. I am sure a peace officer arrived on the scene...Mom says no, all they did was resolve the matter over the phone, yet never came out. No charges were pressed, I just needed her to not toss my personal belongings out of my car. We made peace, but remember it differently. Just curious what the law says. thanks.
