This is a serious question okay. This does NOT apply today, but from early Western civilization.
If Western civilizations traditionally accepted gays like the Greeks did, would women not have as much rights as they do now? It seems the reason women's rights came to be was because men needed women, which wouldn't be the case in homosexuality was widely accepted. I cite the Greeks were women were very low status in their society, because it only seemed that the men needed them to provide offspring.
Of course nowadays women have rights so acceptance of gays wouldn't be a big factor in this, as it would have been had it been so from the onset.
