...project), how should we do it? We have to make a film informing people on one event in world history, we chose the haitian revolution. If we are doing a news coverage should we make it seem like it was being taped back then, should we seem like its being taped today and somehow present the info(howwould we cover a story that happened 2 centuries ago) or should we just pretend like we're going in a time machine? If you choose one of these things can you explain how to do it?

I think the most fun would come from reporting the revolution as if the conflict was occurring right now.

Not a cheap, "This just in...." but some credible introduction of reports of a slave rebellion in the Caribbean. What are the authorities saying (from your research of historical documents) and what are the key rebels saying.

By doing this, I think you will develop more parallels to current reports from Iraq and South Africa/Zimbabwe etc., and learn more.

Just remember in your initial reports about Haiti that the end result would not yet be known.

Hope this answer helps you.
