3 million jobs lost. With the "trickle down" theory, wouldn't these companies be hurt as well?

microsoft (computer chips)
car porters
detailers
dealerships
bridgestone
firestone
michelin
bose
auto parts stores
mechanics

The list goes on and on. Isn't this the type of bailout that would at least let a congressman sleep better at night? Rather than bailing out the bankers. (Which by the way they are setting aside 6.5 billion for bonuses) And don't blame it on the Unions, it was unions who built this country.

JMB...what are you talking about??? Oh, and to the first answerer, unions are a blessing for many people who would be out of a job for reasons such as having the flu for 2 days!!
DarkKo8..I think I got your name right. Where are the 3 million people who immediately lose their jobs go to work??
Some of you may not agree...but if you like your foreign car, want to show off your BMW, I say tax the H*LL on imports!

unions drive businesses out of business. they push prices for the service/products that the company that the union is part of to the point of they can no longer compete in the market. CF is a perfect example. where is consolidated freight these days? oh yeah bankrupt. they were union. if it wasn't for the reliability of UPS they would be gone also. to send a package from seattle to fairbanks alaska through UPS it is a minimum of $4 lb. if you want red label over night then it varies from 10-14 lb. i am using alaska gold streak now instead of ups red. it is much cheaper. just need to pay a taxi to take it to the airport
the amount of jobs created by the auto industry is tremendous. all the small parts that come from around the world is amazing. i drive a subaru legacy. built in tennessee my alternator is from Cincinnati and my starter is from tennessee. one is hitachi and one is denso.
there is no such thing as an american car anymore. it is a bunch of foreign parts put into a shell with a name on it.

congressmen don't care about anything but themselves and whatever they are interested in. If the auto industry goes under, all the congressmen will be sleeping soundly in their mansions, still making money

Isn't it a good thing that Democrats DO NOT believe in "Trickle Down" ?

We can let these companies collapse and have NO WORRIES about any of the support infrastructure or any indirect businesses.

Dems have told us REPEATEDLY how "trickle down" doesn't work.
