charger etc work here(Australia)? Sorry if this is a dumb question- i'm not good with technology etc, . My husband says it will be fine because it has some sort of adaptor or something, is that right.?
It's a present for our daughter, so I hope it's OK.
Thanks

Many new electronic equipment comes with adapters that can adapt to a wide range of voltages such as from 100 to 250v. This will mean that it can handle the US 110V as well as the Australian and British 230-240V.

Check the AC voltage range that it can handle. It should be printed on the adapter itself. It should be printed as something similar to "Input 100V ~ 250V AC 50/60Hz".

If it can handle only about 100 to 120V, then it is meant to the US market or countries with a similar voltage. Then you will need to use a step-up adapter.
