GM's to be so unreliable? Source: Any Consumer Reports for the last decade

There are several reasons, for one Toyota might be assembled in America but the parts are Japanese. Also, Toyota's parts run much cooler than those of GM which means it takes longer for the parts and other materials to break down. Also, labor unions in the american auto industry make it harder to let people who don't perform good work on the assembly line and in other places where as in other factories that produce cars like Nissan, Honda and Toyota they don't deal with all these labor unions and they are much more cost efficient.

Several people in the past have told me that General Motors, Chrystler, and Ford make their cars unreliable in the long run as part of a *conspiracy* to keep american people buying new american cars after each car's 80 to 90K mile life span.
