If the Country was in crisis, you bet. He would rather lose this election, then lose a war. And this financial crisis is a war, we will be fighting for a very lone time. Do you have you $10,000 ready, because that is what it is costing all Americans, if John McCain doesn't do his job, and get them to change it. Democrat for McCain/Palin 2008.
 
Comparing a debate to an election is really dumb.

If this was the day after 9/11 they would postpone a debate. According to dems and reps this crisis has risen to that level.

They can hold the debate on Tuesday after the legislation is in place. No harm to anyone to delay a few days.
