Eve's mistake? If that's the original sin, why don't we stop trying to ascend to the higher world? Satan told Eve that she'd be like God, knowing both good and evil. Before the fruit, all she knew of was good. Evil existed, yes, but she or Adam was ignorant of it, nor would knowing what evil was be of any worth.
Satan, after tempting Eve, brought her to the upper world (higher consciousness) to show her the difference of good and evil. According to the Book of Zohar, the forbidden fruit is nothing more than calling one thing 'good' and calling another thing 'evil.'
Eve, delighted to have this new knowledge, or 'fruit,' ran and told, or 'gave it to' her husband. She brought him to the upper world, or 'coaxed him to partake,' showing him the difference between good and evil. Does this sound like what religion does today? Religion's point of existence is to teach us the differences of good and evil.
For some reason, we still hold on to this forbidden fruit, the difference of good and evil. Why don't we just drop the forbidden fruit and call everything good? For everything works together to produce good to those who really believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore, to the one where everything is good, there can be no evil done to him or her. This way of seeing things literally saves one's soul from evil because evil will no longer exist to that soul. They most likely will be slain in the flesh for being so 'ignorant' of the evil that tries to manifest to them, but their spirit of good cannot be touched. Who thinks that makes sense?
What's good and what's evil? That depends on the nature of the conscience from which the question is formed. Which is good and which is evil: 'what is' or 'what isn't'? Well, according to the universe, they're both neutral.
Sources: Torah, Jewish Kabbalah, Book of Zohar, Bible.
Ross, Kathy and Shimmon, I congratulate you on seeking the truth. I, too, am a Kabbalist Christian. Will you join me in starting up a Kabbalist Christian church?
Odmon, you're a genius!
Sorry, the name is Odemori.
