If the NY Times refused to publish the "climategate" emails why did they publish

the Wikileaks releases? The Times said that the "climategate emails appeared to have been obtained illegally and were obviously not intended to be released to the public so they would not be seen in the Times. Why would that policy not apply to Wikileaks?
